How to Use This Site

The purpose of this site is to provide anyone learning English with examples of how to pronounce common words and phrases. Example words/phrases are recorded and saved to MP3 audio format so the reader can HEAR - SEE then SAY them correctly.

At the top of this page you will see our words/phrases are divided into various sections and topics. Select the area that is of interest to you. Click the play button next to the word or phrase you want to listen to. The audio file will be played using your computers default MP3 player software (Windows Media Player, WinAmp, Real Player, Quicktime, etc.).

Words can be played by clicking the button.

Phrases can be played by clicking the button.

We recommend you configure your MP3 player to not automatically repeat/loop audio so you maintain control of when the MP3 sound is played. Click the play button on your MP3 player when you want to hear a word/phrase again after it has been played for the first time. Also, it is a good idea to use an MP3 player that in not a part of the Internet browser you are using, use an MP3 player that is in its own window. If your MP3 player has the option to "stay on top" of other windows it is a good idea to enable this to prevent the player from disappearing behind your Internet browser when you click to play a different word/phrase.

We will be adding additional content to the site on an ongoing basis. So please check back often. If you would like help with a particular word/phrase, find a bad link or would like to request a particular word/phrase be listed on the site, please let us know.
